PZ, it's $0.99 a download.

I just want to comment on this app. In smartphones world there are apps and system apps. Apps are normal application programs, system apps works at a lower level with the operating system (OS) to provide an extension to the OS. In PC world you have programs and drivers.

I have not downloaded nor install this app, if someone have done the loading please let us know how it works.

To me, this is just a program app, that allows Lao to certain functions: SMS, email, twitter etc. It is not a general across the system Lao keyboard driver, if you think it's want you want. Why? Apple does not allow it in their OS to have a wide across the system keyboard driver! they consider it as a security risk ie. key logger, injection of keystrokes, hence command in input stream by Trojan programs.

You can download Lao fonts into iphone, but no across system Lao input method.

However, one can install such Lao keyboard driver on iPhone by bypassing Apple security design, called Jailbreak. Jailbreaking does not void Apple warranty, but it needs to be done by people who know how to do it. Check how to do it here https://www.facebook.com/iphonelaos.

Android, is less paranoid about the keyboard security issue and allow third party keyboard driver app to be installed, thus you can write Lao in all Android applications. I use SwiftKey, a few more at Google store.

The only way Lao input will be available is for Apple to support it in the OS, please sign the petition at http://www.change.org/petitions/apple-inc-tim-cook-please-add-lao-keyboard-as-native-support-on-idevices .

Thank you HT. I will sign for it! I got Lao font in my iPhone but I have to use cut and paste for writing in Lao which is more difficult than the existing keyboards that come with the Iphone, English and Thai.
