WASHINGTON — President Obama and congressional leadership agreed on
Tuesday that the best way to resolve differences on the soon-to-be-
expired Bush tax cuts would be to hold additional meetings.

A senior administration official confirmed to CNN that the president
did say he had not done enough outreach to the Republicans during the
past two years.

Not reached out enough?! Are you joking me, he had no reason too after
you slapped his hand away multiple times. he bent over backwards to
please you, to no avail!!! If it were me in that house I would have
been pointing out every hypocrisy you and your ilk have made over the
last 10 years just to prove my point. You'd be mired in scandal up to
your eyeballs concerning the Bush/Cheney prosecution. WHAT THE FUCK
WAS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?

KC, CAN YOU RELAY THIS MESSAGE TO OBAMA AND THE DEMS? TELL THEM THAT
THEY ARE JUST A BUNCH OF SISSIES?

In the last couple legislative sessions, the elephant group did not
move on any issues at all. They were acting like they were the small
ears of an elephant.
They told the Donkeys to do whatever they want to do. This was a crazy
GOP reaction during a tough time in the economy. They are not for the
people; they went their own way. If they were able to compromise and
work with the Obama Administration for the past two years, the US
economy would not be this bad.
We do understand how you feel Casalao. We the dems feel the same way
as you.
Mr. President is already aware of the situation. Wait and see!

Where is our Lao-American little dream going from here? Everyday it
seems like our hosting superpower is adding more insults to its
already badly injury of its own making. The worldwide web
whistleblowing Wikileaks has yet shed another sad light on all
stripped down naked paranoia of a superpower on its worldwide
diplomatic gossip cables, thus to spy on the whole UN big league
members is unspeakably clumsy under the order of Hilary Clinton, which
is getting worse against the backdrop of all international legal
norms, and so illicit that even the daughter of a miner wouldn’t do
it.

Yet the superpower is facing a daunting task on this double edged
messy dilemma, first being increasingly panic and helpless on the
foreign fronts, and secondly falling to a totally dysfunctional crack
on any new agenda initiative at home to boost a badly broken economy,
but with one exception that’s a quasi triumphant comeback of a
plutocracy over the old fading democracy where ruled by the wealthy
empowered even further with all the bailout handled equally by the two
party subservient system. It’s sad that we got to this point of
history! The shrinking status of Obama seems incredible on all fronts
of this planet from being the first black of perfect picture, but
untested orator to the first lame duck who seems never graduate from
any of on job training prog yet. And what we expect more about the
sissy party that some of us here have hoped to save what is
salvageable among the middle class American dying dreams which are
increasingly under threat of another economic ticking bomb. And
shamelessly more members of the sissy party in the South rush to
defect one after another to the Grand Old Party because they are so
scare of losing their wallet or being too embarrassed on the specie
extinction list at the next local election.

After all, I wonder how the country has created Carnegie Hall, MIT,
and Harvard etc has come to such confusing gullible end with so lack
of highly recalibrated brain of “God bless America” politicians of the
first order.

Thank you Vannasay for sharing your point of view and concerns about
Lao-Americans.
As we all know, we came to The United States because of the communist
regime that took over Laos in 1975. Fortunately, we resettle in the
wealthiest and most powerful country.
Don’t worry too much about Lao-Americans living in The United States.
Many of us are successful and are living the good life, but I can’t
speak for all. They resided across the State to enjoy their daily
lives. No matter how bad the economy is, every weekend they still get
together to drink expensive bottles and sing the night away. This is
the American mainstream.
Even though our economy is broken at the moment, I still believe that
The United States is still one of the most influential countries in
the world. Our nation’s security is strictly tied. Soon The United
States will rise once again. Please don’t expect Obama to fix the
damage that Bush had made over night. He’s trying his best and the
public shouldn’t be so hard on him. It’s easier said, than done. I do
know that Obama has many knowledgeable policy advisers.

Mike Honda, CAPAC Chair, urges passage of the DREAM Act this week

Washington, DC – Today, US Rep. Mike Honda, chairman of the
Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, issued the following
statement urging the passage of the Development, Relief, and Education
for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act this week by both the US House of
Representatives and the US Senate:

“I applaud Senator Reid and Speaker Pelosi for their leadership in
supporting the DREAM Act. Passage of the DREAM Act is a top priority
for CAPAC, as 1 in 10 DREAM Act beneficiaries would be Asian American
and Pacific Islander,” said Honda.

Failure to pass the DREAM Act would disproportionately impact Asian
American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students, especially in
California, where more than 40% of DREAM Act beneficiaries would be
Asian. 1.5 million Asian individuals make up 12.5% of the 12 million
undocumented population. This is disproportionately large given that
AAPIs make up only 5% of the US population.

“For many congresses, Members of our caucus have been vocal on the
passage of both comprehensive immigration reform and the DREAM Act,”
continued Honda. “CAPAC will continue to push until the American dream
becomes a reality for all our students.

“The DREAM Act would provide the opportunity to 65,000 undocumented
high school graduates to make contributions to our country and
economy. The legislation would make a small investment in our
children; however, the gains for the country are far greater and far
too inviting to ignore.

“I urge my colleagues in both Houses to do the right thing and pass
the DREAM Act.”

I think most intelligent people --- from Warren Buffett, to Alan
Greenspan, to David Stockman [Reagan's budget director, I guess], to
most economist professors --- say when you are fighting multiple wars,
cutting taxes is just saying "We don't believe in gravity, and we will
pray to the Lord to make it an exception in our case..."

Only the extremely rich who don't acknolwedge common sense (Warren is
very rich, but he DOES admit common sense, by his admittance, for
example, that his secretary pays more taxes, ON PER CAPITA EARNING,
than Warren does), plus Sarah Palin's knuckled head White, religious
cons --- who are yearning to take America "back" and send her packing
BACK to like it was the 1700s, during the Boston Tea Party colonial
era --- only these "small government" fakes want to cut taxes.

The argument put forth by these "God will deliver" crowds, along with
their Wall Street pals, is that "the rich are paying too much taxes."

As if those "rich" folks earn their billions on another planet, and
NOT created by ordinary citizens but SIMPLY siphoned or trickled UP to
be collected and tabulated as the "earning" of those at the top?

People need to remember that the riches of societies, the WEALTH of
people, are created by THE PEOPLE, although the masses can NOT access
it like the well connected, cunning, clever, scheming... It is NOT
created DISPROPORTIONATELY by the richest, most cunning, well
connected AS ARGUED.

So, of course, if I should be able to siphone off, say, $20M a year as
my "earning," I SHOULD BE ABLE/willing to pay $5M or $8M as income
taxes! Even then, I still get so FREAKIN' much OUT of the earnings of
millions, I should be shot dead for such thievery! But, oh, no!!!!,
mindless bumbling idiots who run things say "No, no, YOU are more than
deserving of those $20M a year; you EARN it, not the poor or masses of
workers! The reason they only earn, on average, $20K to $50K,
compared to your $20M is that you work more intelligently, harder!"

And these are the people who also don't believe humans' releasing
billions of tons, each year, of EXTRA chemicals, many NOT naturally
produced in nature --- while other chemicals are but not released by
nature at the present rates --- would have any negative impact on the
air we breath (wait to see if they scream like the hypocrits they are,
when China and India start to spew 1/2 of the amount Americans and
Euorpeans have spewed into the air the last 50 years), on the land, on
the rivers and lakes and oceans...

These are the people who say the fish stocks in the sea's more plenty
than years ago; our local lakes, rivers, land, and coastal waters are
CLEANER than before; no accelerated global warming; Jesus, a man of
about 150-170 pounds could walk on WATER without breaking polar
covalent bonding between two water molecules; the earth, the cosmos
really ,was created only 6,000 years ago, PER THEIR HOLY BOOK THE
BIBLE; there's more justice, equality, MERITOCRACY in the 1700s!

And, oh, Sarah Palin needs to be our prez, to save America and
Americans from the evil doers of Liberals and their aweful friends,
the terrorists!

Oh, the intelligence of mankind... I am glad I have decided not to
perpetuating my genes. The stupidity sometimes hurt my heads just
thinking about it! lol
