WHY? BOTH OF THESE LAO CHAPS, ONE A HARDCORE COMMIE HATER AND THE

laonork life? doesn't have to be a complex one. a quickie is fine.
DKJ, sir, could you take care of laonai stuff? you have snapped a lot
of pix, so it shoudn't be hard to come up with a cool video glorifying
the achievements of the Lao PDR regime or even better yet just the
laonai life in general.

I think we should look at what events defined the people in SCL and
topics. There are many characters in here at times all passionate
about their point of views and at times dropping the ball all together
to play the man, anyway here are the events that I remember:
- Arrest of protesting students in VTE
- Disappearance of 3 US citizen Lao-Hmong
- Danes affair
- Logging
- NTEII
- Houay nam khao refugees
- Thatluang mash
- foreign migration and population
- Lao reconciliation
- SEA game
- Corruption
- Aliens migration, property rights
- SCL spam invasion and home breed copycat
once we know the topics we can see where people align Laonais and
laonorks.
Many of these topics will carry over to the new year.

not really. it is very meaningful and pointful. i am thinking more
along the line of buying flowers to a singer or singers performing
somewhere. we are not limited to give just one bouquet of flowers.
at least that's what i am thinking right now. again we are looking in
the span of the last decade.
i don't want to make this to be too rigid with too many rules and
regulations to the point of slowing down the process.

That kind of voting has caused many ripples when it came to selecting
Nang Sangkarn at the Wats. Those with more money bought more flowers
for their kid. There was an incident where one father wrote out a
check at the last minute for $2500 to get his daughter chosen and
after wards his check bounced and he didn't honor the check.
The end of this decade is more than ONE YEAR away. No need to rush...
"At Jimmy Dean's we do it right or we don't do it at all..." Just my
2 cents, of course you are free to do what you want. :-)

you are right on target on those major topics hotly discussed here on
SCL over the years. also how can one forget about the Anouvong
Setthathirath IV couple who were murdered at nongkhai under mysterious
circumstances and the VP arrest. there are also some other worthy
topics.
the point of selecting the SCL man of the decade is to see who's
passionate or has been here all along since day one of the year 2000
until now. for me either one of those two criteria is enough to get
nominated therefore my reason of nominating thanouxay and pizone.
i can clearly say that my politics kinda align with pizone but fully
in contradiction with thanouxay. but then all of us are passionate
about the old muonglao.
HN has been gracious enough to come up with a video clip hightlighting
the topics you have mentioned. so we want to thank him for that.
HN, could you add a picture of the Danes and Anouvong Setthathirath
IV? also a snapshot of some of the spammers? thanks man.
