These times are PST.. Pacific Standard Time. Same as California time.

Surely I'll show Lao pride by visiting your site as soon as I can.
Observations: Giving the California time seems that only people in USA
are aimed by your site . If you give the GMT time, not only everybody
will be interested but it will be easier for them to know at what local
time they can participate.

I was there yesterday and the day before and there was no one logged on
at the time....can't chat with myself, can I? Perhaps rearrangement of
time and schedule is necessary...just a thought.

I was there too and no one else showed up either.. But, there was something
else though that was very strange. I heard some very strange sound, some thing
like beep! bong! beep! bong! beep! bong! some where inside the monitor. So I
tried to type in 'sabaidee who is there?', 'hello anybody home, anybody out
there?', bonjour!, chao!, arikato!, etc. But, there was no answered, it just
keep beep! bong! beep! bong! beep! bong! so I said whatta heck! then turned off
the PC and went to bed. I don't know it was very strange, it could be
anything. Maybe a ghost or something. A ghost!!? Oh! no! I think I just
talked to a "Pi Kong Koy" Ahhhh...!

Phromsavanh gave up on me last time when I asked for the Ghost's story.

If it turns out to be true "real ghost". Would be nice if that is a
Sexy one!!!? Not a hungry ghost, looking for foods and making so much

I'd really love to chat with all of you but I've found this Chat room needs to
: 1st. Change the meeting time ( 11 to Midnight for Easthern Lao cheap labor
peoples is too late). 2nd. Mikes has to set up this site with a new advance
tool. It's seems to me that this Chat room had some problem to login.
Hope, Mikes Jungle is able to come out with the good solution and we will see
in there.

Yes I agree, I don't think there are too many easterners want to stay up that late
(mid night) for a chat to himself. Well, actually I know one person who stay up
that late, me! :-). But, just like I said, I did once but ended up talking to a
"Pi kong koy". So I don't know if I want to try to stay up that late again. :-)

progress there. Or feel free to use the chat as you please, we
are working on incorporating a Lao base fonts so that you can
chat in Lao as well .. That portion is still in the work at the

Most of the time you won't find people in web base chat ..
especially such as the one we've created or the new one which our friend
have created. This is an age old (make that days old) problem of locality
and time zone differences.. and the mere fact that no one has the time to
just sit there and wait for other to join. It is parallel to that of the
begining of Internet Relay Chat back in the early 90's where it was hard
to find people to come and chat with . namely the lack of equipment and
knowledge that such a wonderful venue exist for exchanging information.
Like Internet Relay Chat and more popular web base chat site such as Yahoo
or Excite .. in the asian room .. or AOL's channel Laos rooom where a lot of
people (kids... yes I say kids. and you all know who you are :-{}~~~ )
gather on a daily basis... Lao web chat room needs time to 'grow' and
develop into a meeting place .. it needs time for Lao people to forms such
a habit ( an addicting one) ... to come and chat. I hope and sit with
pride to see that Lao web base site do mature into yet another places for
meeting khon lao, and so so without having me and a few of my close
friends (kag, tiger, Cy, Ky, Guyy...etc ) literary travel to different
part of the world just to ask and show people what the internet is and where
and how to come and talk .... so we don't have to deal with the "pii kong
qoy" syndrom or any similar feeling of being talking to oneself ......

"Bob Lay Wein Thunh"? Maybe for Savanna and Promsavanh but why me? Savanna and
Promsavanh they seem to be more like the ghosts of SCL (maybe the sexy one too
who knows). I mean they seem to come and go, come and go, you know what I
mean? Some days they show up and say heeellooo! and when you say hello back,
they don't answer. Then later on they would come in and say heeeellooo! again.
Hehehe...just kidding, don't be mad OK guys?
Talking about sexy ghost, I remembered when I was in Laos. My friends and I
thought we were very lucky on that night to find a very beautiful woman stand by
the road by herself and asked for a ride home. Boy! we were so excited, we said
to ourselves this is it, it is the day, the day we will find out how the small
heaven would be like? :-)
The woman was wearing black cloth, had a very long hair down to her hip and she
had a very beautiful face. She was standing by the side of the road near "That
Dam" area (Vientiane). When our old Bug a 1950 VolksWagen stopped in front of
her, she said "Aiiiiii, Pai Song Nong Dai Boooooor?" can you take me home? Boy!
without any hesitation, we all said yes! yes! yes! "Dai, Dai Dai Nong Dai", of
course we had something else in mind..hehehe... Anyway, so we asked her "Ban
Nong Yu Sai" where is your house? then she said " Ban Nong Yu Phooooon"' my
house is over there, pointing down the road.. OK! we said, lets go then. So we
opened the door for her, she stepped in, and off we go.
We didn't very care much of where we were going, we just followed her
direction. She said turn, we turn, she said straight, and we go straight.
Because, all we think about was that if we can find a good and save place then
we would stop the car and have our small heaven right there. While we all
dreaming and thinking about our small heaven, what would it be like, etc.? Then
all of a sudden, she said "Aiiiii, Yut Dai Leooooow, Ban Nong Yu Neeeeee" please
stop, my house is here. Surprised, we stopped the car, and looked at each other
with the confusing faces, there was no house around. She got out from the car
and said "Khop Chai Der Aiiiiiiii". Then we all got out from the car too, felt
kind like worried you know, hehehe.... Anyway then we asked her "Yu Nee Bor?"
here? she answered "Man Leoooow" and started walking toward a very tick dense
woods. We immediately followed her, signaling to each other, that's it, lets do
it right here, but then we noticed a small sign hanging on one of the big tree.
We took a good look at the sign and turned to face each other and looked at the
sign again. By this time we started to run back to the car yelling "Ah!
Ah.........! Pii! Pii! Pii! Pii.............! Ah.....! ghost.....! We all jumped
in the car and took off. The sign said "Pa Xa" "cemetery".
Since then I always think twice when seeing a woman who hitch-hike alone on the
lonely and dark road at night. Hehehe..

Please, no " Barb Lai Wein Thane" to me. I was not even
neared the Chat room. Now, that you mentioned it, maybe, I
would go over there. I am not a gnost ok, I wish I am. I
don't know why Kita said that to me? Kita must mistaken me
with someonelse waiting in the Chat Room. I have been busy
that is all. Thanks for sharing your ghost story.

Poorboy stopped by that site too. Poorboy said " Hello hello hello
anyone home?" No one answered. Poorboy decided to sing " Oh rah
nooooor" several times. Several minutes later, a ghost showed up and
said hello back to Poorboy. After a few words, what an embarrassing. A
ghost tried to get Poorboy into bed. What an unfortunate for a lovely
