Boycott Laos

There are many of us Lao overseas people that had never gone back to
Laos for whatever reasons, it is by choice of a broken heart for all
the pain and sufferings being forced out of our homeland and the
mistrust. Now being comfortable in all countries of the world where
our money is more welcomed and our freedom respected we continue to
effectively boycott a system we have no sympathy for. If Laos wants
us back as appealed by the government, either as tourists or as
investors Laos has to show the change in mind set and compromise in
their position, not just rhetorics . The promotion of Vientiane 450
birthyear and SEA game will pass us by without any response of
interest. The news headlines confirm and portray Laos as a country
with no respect for its citizens and their rights, where the systemic
corruptions is worst than ever before dividing the rich power hungry
people and the majority of the population.

So the boycott continues.

i am not so sure if the LPFR wants you laonork as tourists or
investors. what i know is that a large # of lao people oversea want to
visit their birth place, their relatives, the beautiful mountains,
etc...

Lao Governmet now give VISA at port of entry to any Lao nork 60days to
enjoy Laos.

I have crossed to Laos twice, while I could stay up to 60 days but my
car can only be used in Laos for 2 weeks in the first time and 30 days
second time.

I really enjoy my trips to Laos, I hope we Lao nork will go back to
visit or invest more to help Lao economy and improve the lives of our
Lao people.

i've been to laos few times recently. i had good time with relatives
and friends. i enjoy staying in laos which is really a beautiful
country full of nice and peace loving people...

concerning this upcominf sea game in vientiane and nongkhay, this is
one of the saddest moment of vientiane long history. what will happen
to ban thatluang after the sea game is over? ban thatluang will become
the china town for sure. why the commu leaders need stadium if they
can't build it by themselves? laos has cement, at least two big cement
co. along side the road to vanvieng, laos is not the size of the
vatican, she has enough people to build more than stadium. it's not
that hard for laos as a country to build stadium. why after 33 years
of these slat-songxai phak&lat running the country, laos has to
sacrify her land in the heart of vientiane to foreigner?

are they really salat&songxai or stupid&corrupted?

Bane Thatluang will be more develop and vey beautiful around Thatluang
stupa . Beung Thatluang won't look ugly anymore , it will be new
develop town . People around bane Thatluang will have more jobs for
them to do . I think bane Thatluang people will be very happy with
the new development town . Not sad at all . Laos is already far behind
our neighbor countries in developing .

They are China Town in almost every state in the US and the world . I
don't see anything wrong with them . Don't worry about bane
Thatluang , it will still be there a lot longer then us and for ever
no one will be able to take it away from phinong Lao and phinong bane

Why not ? They need stadium for Sea Game . I am sure Lao leaders did
their home work already except some of us here didn't do any home work
at all just think , guess , maybe , speculated and so on . Some of us
only know how to say why this and that .
Why need an airplane if you can't build yourself ?
Why need a bus if you can't build it yourself ?
Why need a car if you can't build it yourself ?
Why need a telephone if you can't build it yourself ?
Why need currency bills if you can't make it yourself ?
Many why need tv , radio, and other communication system if you can't
build it yourself .
Why some people always asked why this and that because his/hers/
themself didn't know why themself either ?

I wonder why why why ?

But the official ceremony will be held on October 12, 2010.
You know the meaning of that date in 1945 in Laos.

Thank you for your information. 2010 is the year that I reach my
retirement age. I plan to retire in that year and plan coming to spend
some time in Laos, but I am not sure what month yet. My honey will
make a final decision if thing goes as plan. October 1945, I was not
born yet and I don't know the meaning of that date, but I guess Mr.
Paxasonlao is right.
