If anyone is planning on attending this particular martial arts
school, please do not. Take your time and give it some thought. The
proprietor and instructor of this school (Marc Anthony Baca) has been
know to contribute to a number of serious deceitful and illegal
activities, including:

§ Mismanagement of fundraiser funds (under pretense of students
attending Junior Olympics) for personal financial gain (The Clovis NM
Police Department has an abundance of information on the individuals
embezzlement charges.)

§ Mr. Anthony Baca has also been know to "engage" juveniles in
improper conduct and promotes an unsafe environment for children
(Several complaints have also been filed -- Los Lunas PD).

§ Mr. Baca has also been well known for other unusual business
practices -- false advertising, mismanagement of school funds, (school
has been nearly closed numerous times, electrical service was out for
several months due to Mr. Baca's incapacity to manage school funds and
to his other questionable habits) failure to fulfill purchase orders,
the unconditional lack of overall school and general business
management, lack of ethics and general unprofessional conduct.

Please take note of this word of warning, for if you do not the
likelihood of financial loss will be enormous. This man is
unpredictable and not to be considered a businessman or in any sense
of the word. Do not purchase his equipment, classes, or do any kind of
business with this man.

better business bureau, Los Lunas Better Business Bureau or the New

Mark Anthony Baca is truly a great guy. Apparently those of you bashing him have yet to do your homework. When we neglect doing homework, we are misinformed which means you're not speaking based on FACTS but are gossiping because of words you've heard elsewhere. The ONLY NEGATIVE you will find if you'd take the time to check the facts is what has been made out of spite by a person with a vindictive motive for Mark taking a stand almost 15 years ago. Yes, really..check the date yourself. You can verify the deceit by simply following the same links the person posted and WHEN you finally figure out that the negative post is INVALID I hope you're big enough with enough self respect and common decency to apologize to my friend, Mark Anthony Baca. His intentions are pure and his causes are worthy of support not bashing or gossip. Thank you for sharing this article. I too experienced business with that guy. I wasn't the only one who had issues with him. I later learned he had money issues with many people in our town. This is not bashing, this is just the truth. I helped him teach some classes and the building's electricity was out for some time. Some people asked for refunds and he told them I was going to give it to them. I was never involved or in charge of any financial issues. So he lied. He also left owing a lot of money for his rent. He also never got the gear that was promised by him for some of the students. I've also talked to some people who worked with him in the past and it sounds to me like this guy is your typical con artist. If you are doing business with him do it all on paper and good luck. Also don't expect him to be civil about financial issues because when I tried talking to him about getting the gear he promised or getting the money back he just acted clueless and confused about any agreements. He then told me he would give me my money but blocked me on all means of communication. If you think we're lying call the clovis dept.

I was one of his black belts in Clovis NM and I was around when there were several situations like the electric and water being turned off for not paying. Another was when he defrauded a women of $10,000 and another was when he raffeled off a car and kept the money and the car. There are many more stories like this that I was around for.
He unfortunately throws down the God card when people start figuring him out.
Be careful people. Heed the warning and do your homework before you hand him money.
