Hannies, always on the lookout for "natural", has purchased a package
of "Evaporated Cane Juice - Natural Sugar". The package bears a notice
"naturally produced vegan, certified kosher", with the kashrus
certification consisting of of a circle within a circle. In the
circular space between the two circles appear the words "kosher
parve", and inside the inner circle are the intitials "B.K.A." Can
someone here enlighten me as to who (or what) is B.K.A., and what are
their standards?

GEK
whishing everyone a kosher and sweet Tisha B'Av, like the evaporated
cane juice that bears this hechsher

It may be the Brazilian Kashrut Authority. I say this on the basis of
a websearch using the search terms "hechsher" and "BKA." It would make
sense since sugar cane is grown in South America.

And check out "It's kosher" in Victoria, Australia. It may be
unconventional but you can tell it's good because his name is Meir.

That's what my Google search came up with. Their website is in
Spanish or Portugese, so I can't read it.
