News from Israel on NPR

Israel announced that it is starting contruction (of housing I
suppose, but I don't remember hearing that word) in three places of
east Jerusalem, two near Ramallah and one near Bethlehem. Personally,
I didnt' realize and I'm glad to hear how large the East Jerusalem is
in Israel's view. Of course now I know that when they say E.
Jerusalem, they might not mean the smaller area I've been thinking of.
Mark Regev says Israel will continue to build in Jerusalem, and that
Israel has open channels with Washington (which the report an hour or
two ago interpreted to mean that they had done this with the approval
of Washington. They dropped that sentence just now, an hour or two
later, but of course didn't say why. I don't know why. Are they
trying to retract it, or was it just that the story was given less
time, since it is older now and newer strories are given more time in
a top of the hour news segment that is only 6 minute long?

BTW, for those who don't want to listen to NPR, or don't want to all
the time, but can't tolerate for example, the wierdo shows on WCBM or
1090 AM, and who have lo-speed dsl or faster**, I've finally got a
webradio source I really like. Today I listened to NewsRadio 1080 in
Dallas and unlike WTOP in DC, it's not just news, traffic, and
weather. (WTOP gives traffic news at 3 in the morning the same amount
of time as in midday. I don't know why.). **Although I used to
listen to the radio on dial-up and it often went very well.
I normally listen to 50's music or doowop, but there are more than 350
stations to check out, of almost all genres.
And best of all it has space for 10 presets so it's easy to change
stations without going to another webpage or loading a different
player, like Real or WMP or WinAmp. Just go to
http://player.play.it/player/aolPlayer.html?v=4.10.2&ur=1&us=1&id= and
save this link to your link bar on your browser. (I had trouble in
XPSP3 installing the AOL tool bar in either IE8 or FF3. And with the
link above, you don't need it.)
It also automatically starts playing the same station it was playing
when you closed the browser or the tab. So it's real easy to use.

In fact I definitely wouldn't install the AOL tool bar. Even if one
could get it to work, it might do things one doesnt' really want. Not
terrible things but still.

Somehow I'm not surprised. :-) NPR has a lot of stuff with no
political ramifications. Car-Talk is the most popular show on NPR.
The only PBS I watched was before the digital conversion, two
half-hour shows recapping the weeks news and the humor/detective show
MONK, and there was a movie, sometimes an old movie, on Saturday
night, but I can't get that station anymore. I'm soon going to buy an
an antenna for the attic and will probably get it again.

I don't doubt it's on USA, but I don't know how you can claim to know
a negative about a television market that is not available to you.
Do you think I just imagined I was watching it? I never even would
have heard of the show if it were not on the PBS station I used to be
able to get.

I didn't say that. I said that it was on USA. *ALL* the **original**
episodes were shown that *NATIONAL* network. I *also* said that it is
over and in reruns.
You may well have seen a rerun on PBS. What I said did not contradict
you. It simply made two declarative, and true, statements.
