Hello all,

Copyright Law (Chapter 63)
--------------------------
"artistic work" means —

(a) a painting, sculpture, drawing, engraving or photograph, whether
the work is of artistic quality or not;

(b) a building or model of a building, whether the building or model
is of artistic quality or not; or

(c) a work of artistic craftsmanship to which neither paragraph (a)
nor (b) applies.

MDA is also registered under the AGC statutus online to using
Singapore's Law to censor films to prevent kids and teenager to learn
bad examples from films and video where adults could just easily let
them watch these movies freely without any proper control(preventive
measures to prevent adults to give movies to underage groups).

As we can see from the above message, the copyright law based on
artistic work not relating to paragraph a and b is sctually artistic
videos meant for the 18 when MDA has not started with the idea of
screening R in Singapore theatre. When R films started screening in
Singapore, age up to 21 and above meaning 21yrs of age to 70 yrs could
only get hold of these videos using the AGC's copyright act but
underage will still have to follow MDA's films rating law to watch
films which suits their age. To cut the words short, that is to say
that those whom are 21 yrs and above(to 70 yrs of age) can follow the
copyright law to buy films while any person under the age of 21 will
still have to follow MDA's film rating law to watch films....that is
what it is all about......

N/B: There is no such reason as to why the sex is being regulated
using law by the government body....its all up to individuals to find
out what is suppose to mean by themselves rather than need someone to
keep stressing and remind them that yah, this is actually
allowed....which means as good as nothing to watch.

Shinkansen,
For the last week or two you have been posting parts of Singapore's
copyright and move/digital rating laws, along with a link to a porn site.
Is there a point to this?

At least this time you seemed to try and give an explanation, but you insist
on referring back to two separate codes of law and trying to talk legalese.
Don't just spout off, put it in your own words and in plain language. Think
for yourself tell us WHY your doing this. Is there a reason or do you just
get off on posting sections of laws and talking legalese in newsgroups.

It seems by what you have posted that you might be upset that people under
21 can't buy porn in Singapore or get into age restricted movies, but your
post is so convoluted I can't tell for sure. If this is so, then why? If
you are under 21 just wait and you cant buy and watch all the porn you want
in a few years. If your some sort of pervert that gets off on the idea of
showing porn to children and underage teens, well tough. It's not your job
to supplant their parents or override the morals of Singapore the local
elected government has put in place and enforces by laws.
