We are born, so to speak, provisionally, it doesn't matter where. It
is only gradually that we compose within ourselves our true place of
origin so that we may be born there retrospectively and each day more
definitely. - Rilke

The bell-tower of S.Marco in Venice is NOT original! It crashed down
at the beginning of this century, an was rebuilt almost identical in
1902, or some year around...

Lisa,
You're right! I forgot to take that into consideration. I've
recalculated, and it appears that only still-life flower scenes
purchesed on the east coast of Ireland contain the original tower of
Venice. What appears to be the tower of Venice in still-life flower
scenes purchased in Scotland, on closer inspection, will be found to be
only a '67 Buick hood ornament meant to symbolize the tower, a subtle
pictorial parody of the New York Met Life building.

Qui inizia l'"attacco" : Venezia avrebbe due sole torri (all'arsenale).

sembra che me ne fossi dimenticato.

Certo
