Obama Received Illegal Contributions from Palestinians

Also ran a “Dinner with Barack” lottery with potentially predetermined
winners
by Bill Levinson

Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs deserves enormous credit for exposing
the Obama campaign’s acceptance of illegal campaign contributions from
Palestinians in “Rafah, GA.” That’s Gaza Strip, not Georgia. Here is
her screenshot of the Obama campaign’s report to the Federal Election
Commission, and we are thinking of filing an official complaint to the
FEC. This requires a notarized (sworn) statement, which costs $5 or so
in Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, we remind our readers of Obama’s illegal
and possibly rigged fundraising lottery, noting that it announced a
winner before the entry deadline.

Obama’s campaign contributions from RafahGA is the state code for
Georgia, but Rafah is in the Gaza Strip–for which 972 is the country
telephone code, which it apparently shares with Israel. (Also, zip
codes that begin with 972 are all on the United States’ West Coast.)
Debbie Schlussel adds,

As we all know, it is illegal for any U.S. candidate for federal
office (and most state and local offices) to accept campaign
contributions from foreign nationals. It is also illegal for any U.S.
candidate for President to accept more than $2,300 per election cycle.

So, why has Barack Hussein Obama accepted over $24,000 from
Monir and Hosam Edwan in Rafah, Gaza? And why is he lying about it by
noting on his official filings with the Federal Election Commission
that Rafah is in Georgia? Rafah is the HAMAS-controlled city on the
border of Egypt and is the site of the Rafah gate.

Here is the report from the FEC itself:

Acceptance of illegal campaign contributions from foreign nationals,
and in excess of the $2300 limit, is quite consistent with the Obama
campaign’s ethics. Last year, the campaign ran what is arguably an
illegal lottery, noting that it (1) required payment of consideration
in the form of money, (2) had an element of chance, and (3) offered a
prize (dinner with Barack Obama plus payment of travel expenses). Then
again, perhaps there wasn’t that much element of chance. Although the
Obama campaign modified this year’s “Backstage with Barack” lottery to
allow entry without a donation, thus keeping the campaign out of
actual trouble with law enforcement agencies, this one offered no such
option.

Make a donation by 11:59 pm tonight, Tuesday, July 31st, and you
could join us for our
second Dinner with Barack:

Dear Bill,

A couple of weeks ago I sat down to dinner with four supporters
like you.

Christina, Haile, Margaret, and Michael each made a small online
donation,
and we flew them across the country for some good food and good
conversation.

What I enjoyed most about this dinner was the opportunity to
listen to the
stories and concerns of ordinary Americans in a relaxed
environment. Out on
the campaign trail, there isn’t always time for that kind of
interaction.

Last week we started planning our second dinner, and on Friday
evening at 6:42 pm,
a woman named Dorothy Unruh of Lakewood, Colorado made a
donation.

I’m pleased to announce that Dorothy will be one of my guests
for the second dinner.
You could join us if you make a small donation before 11:59 pm
tonight, July 31st:

As far as we know, it is not normal to announce a lottery winner
before the entry deadline–unless of course not every entrant had an
equal chance to win.
