Obama apparently has sent Clinton to order Israel...NOT to launch
ground operation against Hamas (to stop the firing of the deadly
rockets into Israel.)
Will Netanyahu play ball with Obama ?
Only if the Obama can stop Hamas from launching rockets into Israel.
Can Clinton stop Hamas ? The answer is no.
Hamas refused to talk to Clinton....to have anything to do with the
USA. Will NEVER agree to forego its declaration of destroying Israel...
(in the Hamas charter signed by Arafat decades ago.)
Clinton and the president of Egypt have jointly announced that a cease
fire will be in place in a few hours time. BUT Hamas has no
obligation to comply with their announcement... The Muslim brotherhood
of Egypt do not recognize the joint announcement by Clinton. (In
Islam...it is a victory if the enemy is fooled into retreat. )
However, for a short period of time, Hamas will stop the firing of
rockets into Israel...NOT because it will comply with the joint
announcement. ..but because Hamas need a short ceasefire urgently. A
temporary ceasefire will allow time for Hamas to bring in more
rockets from Iran..Hamas need time to rebuild those rocket launching
sites destroyed by Israel jet...and Hamas need the short break to
convert rocket launching sites to fire multiple rockets at one go
(Israel cannot shot down multiply-rocket launches).
As soon as these measures are completed, rockets from Gaza will rain
down on Israel again !
Israel PM is not smart...if he allow Hamas to have time to replenish
its stock of rockets, to rebuild and to convert its rocket launching
sites to more deadly ones. BUT....if he refused to a ceasefire...he
will be demonized by everyone.
Netanyahu will be wise...if he hold the the ground troops ready to
march into Gaza...as soon as the Hamas relaunch the first rocket
again....to break the ceasefire agreement.

I was away in the USA for one month in Oct/Nov watching the
Presidential election and in China for a week from Nov 07
watching the election of China's new president. In the USA,
the election is all about popularity contest....about money,
money, and money.
In China...it is about leadership succession...picking an
able leader...like in Singapore.
The USA has a flawed system...Obama was clever to
exploit the flaws...and use racial politics to win a second
term.... 99% of blacks, 75 % Latino, 70% of Asia and
