their conduct. Annan has done an awful job -- he has caved in to

fact that the owners of many newspapers instructed their journalists and
editorialists to be pro-Israel *openly*.
Nothing you do will stop the suicide bombings unless you *all* sit down

If you are equating the act of 54 years ago with the acts of today, you
are extremely uninformed. At that time, the power structure in the UN
was much different than it is today.

The Palestinians are not believed because they are proven liars, Jenin
being only the latest instance in a long string of propaganda backfires.
The Israelis are believed because they have some regard for the truth.
The Palestinians apparently believe the entire press is stupid. I maintain
that most of them are not, and that there are only a few who swallow their
propaganda on a regular basis, most of them with addresses on the Arabian
peninsula.

They were making an editorial decision that they should not be afraid
to show their opinion that the Israelis act on a much higher moral plane
than the Palestinians. They do, and that is self-evident to any intelligent
person. There is no need to mislead the less intelligent.

Is that a threat? Sorry, that refrain won't work anymore. The last time
peace was talked, the Palestinians were the ones who walked away.
