Hello,

I am travelling to Ireland in July and looking up hotel rates.

I notice rates are given as "per person sharing". Does this mean that if
I book a roomt that is $200 per person sharing, the real rate is $400 for
the two of us sharing the room?

Would be grateful if someone could answer this as I am not familiar with
the term.

Joseph

Clarions Stephens Hall (8/2001) and The Georgian House (10/2000) were both
about $90.00 a night. They are both currently charging about $140.00-$192.00
a night (single en suite.) The Georgian House, no kitchen and no bathtub.
The Clarions has a kitchen and bathtub. I'm sure you agree it's good to
factor in the savings with the kitchen for having to feed a family, unless
your King Farook. Plus it's fun shopping with the locals in Tesco which is
right around the corner. And going out for morning coffee just isn't
civilized. The prices go up and down depending on amount of rooms they
haven't rented so last minutes is sometimes better. If you see a good rate
snap it up quick. Back in 2001, the Merrion Hotel was offered at $100.00 a
night deal and it's now around $500.00 a night. Also, it depends on the
website. I still find this one the best:

TC is on there now as well. TC looks like a real good thing and the location
couldn't be better.

KateH, trance-channeling the spirit of Graham Chapman, silly-walked to the
podium and announced in a pompous voice:

In Dublin there was a wonderful B&B I stayed at called the Stella
Maris...this is about eight years ago...I don't remember the rates but they
were very reasonable, the room was great (shared it with my brother, two
beds) and the people running it were *fantastic*.

I think this might by "Jurys Inn" (could be wrong..) - same group - but more like
Holiday Inn than the real deal classy Jurys Hotel. Also more central.
