'Nice' example from Norway on how the state-run asylum industry defies any control with 'legal' arguments - everybody knows by now that they destroy our countries this way

FRP forgets that we need to comply with international obligations in our
asylum policy, thinks UDI [Udlændingedirektorat] -direktør Ida Børresen [

The same day that UDI presents its semester report which shows a clear
increase in the number of asylum seekers, the FRP announces a comprehensive
tightening of the asylum policy, if it enters the government in 2009:
We need to instruct the UDI immediately to tighten its asylum policy. This
will lead to a drastic reduction of those who come to our country, says
FRP's immigration affairs speaker Per Willy Amundsen to Dagbladet.
But maybe the FRP has taken a too big mouthful. UDI-direktør Ida Børresen
says to VG Nett that a norwegian government cannot defy international
obligations:
The norwegian government cannot control how many will seek asylum, and those
coming have a right for a fair treatment. We need to follow international
conventions when deciding who needs protection, says she.
She doesn't believe that the FRP will lower the number of asylum seekers
allowed to stay by 90 %:
This sounds unrealistic, says she.
According to Børresen, a norwegian government can regulate the immigrant
stream primarily through a restrictive policy on family reunions and work
immigration.
Børresen thinks that 15 000 asylum seekers - UDI's estimated figure for all
of 2008 - is little, if one looks at the whole picture. Compared to Sweden,
which this year accepts 28 000, almost double that figure:
Idealistically, Norway ought to have accepted more. The challenge is that so
many come so fast, and Norway is a small country, says the UDI-direktør.
A more restrictive line would lead to less asylum requests and give Norway
an asylum seeker figure in the same class as in Denmark of Finland, hopes
the FRP.
Børresen agrees, while underlining that there may be many other causes why
Norway is an attractive country, where they attempt to come:
If you compare the asylum policies of Norway and Finland, then there are
only modest differences. That many more people want to come to Norway
[instead of Finland] may have many causes, like a higher living standard or
smuggling routes making it easier to come here.

Helpless chatter of a juridical apparatchik which is completely in the hands
of its pseudo-science and doesn't have an ounce of common sense in its head.
Is there another conslusion to draw than making an end to this legal madness
and cancel the conventions and fire these people, who lead our countries
law-abidingly to the abyss?
