Fraud and cover ups can occur in science just as they can happen
elsewhere. Because of the nature of science they will be uncovered.

If only you'd actually read what Monbiot wrote. As far as I can tell, no-one
who has commented on his so-called conversion has read it properly either.
Here's a tip - look up the word 'satire' first.

He's an arse all right, but he isn't Britian's Al Gore by any stretch of the
imagination.

Opinions differ. Tol might think that "nothing has changed". But then, he's
probably convinced that the Arctic will be ice-free in a few years time.

He needs a fucking haircut. Tol 2009 indeed. Load of crap. How the hell did
that get into peerreveiwedlitriture? In our day, you had to work for a
degree. We think send far too many inadequate people to university, you
know. Just so the government of the day can meet another bloody fatuous
target. I'm sure most of the really idiotic graduates either become
scientists, economists or statisticians. No other business would employ
them. We'll all end up paying a fantastic price for this latest bout of
Global Hysteria.
