Man admits pornography possession
June 16, 2004 17:32

A Waterford man who had over 30,000 child and adult pornographic images in
his computer when gardaí raided his home has been given a two-year suspended
prison sentence.
Waterford Circuit Court heard the images were discovered when he brought
the computer to be serviced, and the gardaí were alerted.
Contract cleaner Robert Barry, 45, of St John's Park in Waterford, pleaded
guilty to possession of the images on 29 November, 2001.
Judge Olive Buttimer ordered that the man's name be placed on the Register
of Sex Offenders for five years.
