::There are many native Americans visiting Belfast? Interesting.
This must be true. I was riding the Long Island Railroad last summer to
visit a friend in hospital out there and I got talking to this young lad
who told me he was a member of some Indian tribe from Upstate New York.
He had some cool tattoos and realizing I was from Ireland and an artist
he said "Wanna see my Celtic stuff?" He pulled out his portfolio and
showed me some acrylic-on-board paintings of Celtic knots and
mythological stuff. When I asked him how he got in to the Celtic art he
replied "Last summer in Ireland" He told me that he is a member of some
native music and dance group that was invited to play the Sligo Arts
Festival. They ended up doing a whole tour of Ireland for most of the
summer playing festivals and doing performances at rock concerts, pubs
and raves. He said they were paid really good money by the promoter are
planning to go back again next summer and play in Dublin and the Aran
Islands and maybe Galway Oyster festival. So there is some truth to this
story even though he did not mention Northern Ireland.
Having said
> that Dublin,
You do not have to sell me there.
:Edinburgh [festival!!!],
Yeah the Festival Week is one of the best events in the world. I am
planing to go this year.
:Constantinople,
The first time I visited an Islamic city. It was a fantastic experience
the sights and smells I shall never forget. The local people were also
very friendly and decent. I like Turkey it is a nice country.
:Prague
Never been
:Moscow,
I have not visited there either although my new girlfriend is from there
and speaks with an accent that you melt the Y-fronts right off your
arse. She is very young, talented and extremely beautiful and of course
adores me as her mentor and teacher and likes to play chess with me in
her new capitalist Victoria's Secret underwear. Hard to keep the pieces
place when yer culvulsive epliectic mickey is bashing the underside of
the chessboard.
: Paris
What person calling themselves human not love Paris. The city is proof
of the spiritual nature of man.
: Vienna
As an ex-Wiener myself I have great love and affection for that
magnificent city and it's culture. I miss it every day.
:Heidelberg
Very nice but a little small. The main center is really just around the
cathedral and the markets in the square. Some of the back streets
leading down to the river are like something out of a fairytale. The
castle and funicular that gets you there is very cool too. There are
some excellent bookshops in the city too.
:Sienna
Never Been
:Rome etc
Did not like Rome. the city is not very safe and I was struck by the
sheer amount of lowlife hanging around places like the Spanish Steps.
Give me Venice anyday over Rome. I also like Verona even though not as
pretty, but you got to love a city that has an almost perfectly
preserved Roman coliseum on its main shopping strip. I am more of a
Northern Italian fan.
: you're not talking college teams here:)
You got that right Gregger me old china - SAY NO MORE.
