Hello,

I am currently searching for the lyrics (in farsi but in latin charachters)
and english translation of "Ey Iran", the Iranian Natinal Anthem.

It would be great if somebody can send them to me otr tell me where to find
them on the web.

Best regards,

Gildas.

It goes something like Ey Iran ey marze por gohar and then continues to kill
and behead all Iranians in sacrifice of the land and its jewels. I
personally think it is way overated since it talks nothing about the people
of Iran. Also As far as I know the song has never been an official Iranian
National Anthem, it is more like the Unofficial one.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

You say that this is an "unofficial" national anthem... Is this an old
anthem? Who create it and for what reasons?

What is the current Official National Anthem (of the Islamic Republic of
Iran) so? I succeed in downloading only this one.

Kheili mamnun.

Khoda hafez.

I'm sure there's a translation somewhere on the net.
I just don't know where :-).
If you're satisfied with a crooked translation with
1200 mistakes per line, I could give it a try myself.

That's true. It is not and has never been the national anthem.
The old anthem was a praising bull about Shah and the new one
is even worse.
Ey Iran was played on radio before revolution and was banned
for some years after the revolution, but it seems to be ok
now. It's very neutral and talks about Iran and being Iranian
without any political or confessional affiliations, that's
why everybody likes it.

I think it was created in the 1950s and it did become anthem for a few
months after the revolution.

I think it is something like:
Khomeini ey emAm
reedee be een gheeyAm :-) But seriously I think you should be able to
download the dango o doong from IRNA or president.ir but most Iranians have
never heard it.

Everybody exceot me dAyi joon :-) I don't mind the song but I chalenge you
to find a single place where it talks about "Iranians". The song only talks
about "Iran" and is all too quick at shedding the blood of Iranians. At
least the Shah's anthem at one point said:
"Iranian peyvaste shaadaan" this depressing song talks about Iranians being
tortured with molten metal on their body. oooouch :-(

We've been "nice" to each other more
than one occasion in the past 5+ years,
with or without smiley :-).
There's no need to be delxor.
