Tehran, Feb 9, IRNA - A group of some 300 young people gathered in
front of the Melat Park in northern Tehran to protest to what they
called "the lack of freedom of speech".
According to IRNA reporter, the group was moving toward the Vanak
Square to the south of the place when the law enforcement forces
blocked their way and dispersed the protesters.
The opposition groups abroad had previously called upon their
backers in Iran to lodge a demonstration in the country today in
protest to Iran's Islamic system.
