That song was written by dhevulapalli krishna Sasthri. And, I think
it is from the movie "rangula raatnam".

Two movies were suggested as an answer already. I am not sure
about the title but I remember the movie quite vividly. Chandramohan
was the brother of Vanisri who sings this song in a studio. SVR acted
as a blind man, father of the guy Vanisri loves.
I liked the movie for the splendid acting of Vanisri, Chandramohan
and SVR.

Don't go by the label...judge by the contents.
Prasad!
I am sure it is not Rangula Raatnam.
I don't think Ranga Rao acted in Rangula Raatnam.
Ranga Rao acted in Sukha Duhkhalu.
The song may be from Sukha Duhkhalu but certainly not from RR.
Authority! Some one! Please confirm!
Thanks.

The movie was "Sukhadukhalu" released circa 1968 or 69. The song was
written by Devulapalli Krishnasastry, music by S.P.Kodandapani, sung
by P.Suseela.
I am 100% sure about what I am claiming because I have a cassette with
songs from this movie. (Please don't ask me about the cassette as the
recording hae been done in a horrible way and I rarely listen to these
songs because of that).
By the way I have a question on the same song. Can somebody enlighten
me on what the meaning of the following stanza.
dwaaraaniki taaraamani haram, haarati vennela karpooram
mosam dwesham leni seemalo, mogasaala nilichenee mandaaram
Ramana
May be you missed it, but go...@tamsun.tamu.edu has answered this
question already, but it was a follow up to the original poster
with a title different from this one - "Does anyone ...."
This song is from the movie "sukha du:khaalu" and the song is
picturized on VaniSree. She is an amateur singer, according to the
plot, who records this song in the AIR studio. Haranath is the son
of SV Ranga Rao, with whom VaniSree falls in love with and is
deceived. She committs suicide later on. Chandra Mohan is the brother
of VaniSree, who tries to take revenge on Haranath. SVR is a blind
man in this movie. It has been a long time since I saw this movie, I
don't quite remember the ending, though. There is an equally good
song picturized on Chandra Mohan and VaniSree, which is again written
by Devulapalli - I feel it on the tip of my tongue, yet I don't fully
recall it. Some "goodu", "chilaka" stuff, I think. If anybody has
them, somebody please post the lyrics of both the songs on this net
please?
Bye Bye

Krishna Shastri is describing the encounter of an innocent being with
this deceitful world. Here he is portaraying an imagery of the house
of an innocent being. The meaning of each word is clear and you are left
to your own imagination to put them together.
Here is the complete song.
Idi mallela vaela yanee, Idi vennela maasamanee
Thondara padi oka koayila, Mundae koosindi, Vindulu Chaesindi
Kasirae endalu kaalchunani, Musirae vaanalu munchunanee
Ika kasirae endalu kaalchunani, Mari musirae vaanalu munchunanee
Erugani koeyila egirindi, Virigina rekkalu origindi, Naelaku origindi
Idi mallela ||
Dwaaraaniki taaraamani haram, Haarati vennela karpooram
Moesam dwaesham laeni seemalo, Mogasaala nilichenee mandaaram
Idi mallela ||
Marigi poeyaedi maanava hrudayam, Karuna karigaedi challani daivam,
Vaadae lataku edurai, Vachchu vaadani vasanta maasam,
Vasi vaadani kusuma vilaasam
Idi mallela ||
OK, Gopal, you asked it you got it, so here we go
medante meda kadu, goodante goodu kadu
padilanga allookunna podarillu maadi podarillu maddi
nenaite aaku komma, taanaite vennela vella
padilanga perchina kurchina podarillu maadi
...medante meda kadu...
kovelalo velige deepam devi maa talli
konalalo tirige paatala guvva maa chelli

...medante meda kadu.....

goodanta gubulai poda? gundello hubulaipoda?
