-The CM Mr. K Vijayabhaskar Reddy will contest from Dhone constituency in
his home district Kurnool in the ensuing assembly elections.The former MLA
Mr.K Rambhoopal Reddy has been nominated to seek election from Panyam
which is the constituency of the CM in the out going assembly election.

-The govt. will begin discussiions on monday with the opposition on
resolving the ATR (action taken report) issue on the recommendations of
the joint parlimentary committee on the securities scam.

-The TD president Mr N T Rama Rao released names of candidates for 59
constituencies. The follow is the list.

The C M Mr.Vijayabhasksr Reddy has expressed complete satisfaction over
the list of candidates finalised by the party high command. Reffering to
his constituency Dhone,he said it was his birth place and he is aware of
each and every village.

Ms Renuka Chowdary member and president of TD II, on monday announced that
she would contest against Mr.N T Rama Rao from which ever constituency he
would contest.

CM sure of victory. He expressed the hope that his party would return to
poweer by bagging adequate number of seats. He clamied that the people
were solidly behind the congress Ias it had brought about tremendrous
progress and initiated many welfare programmes after its return to power
in the state laast time.

'My aim is to do the opposite of what I say' was Mr. Rama Rao's reaction
when a correspondent asked him why he opted to contest from the Tekkali
constituency of Srikakulam district.He said that through out his campaing
his party will expose the misdeeds of the congress which was exploiting
the people because of the latters illetaracy as the literacy rate in the
country was only 37 per cent.

The BhujanSamaj Party leader and a former Naxalite Mr K G Satyamurthy
accused his party supremo Mr Kanshi Ram of faiiling to release the partys
list of candidates because of his links with the PM.

It was a day of dramatic developments in the pligrim towm of Tirupathi as
the filing of nominations came to a close. Mr C Krishnamurthy former
secretary of the APCC-I who was denied ticket for the Tirupathi seat but
offered adjoining Srikalahasti, in a surprise move filed his nomination
papers as an independent from Tirupathi.

A good number of rebel candidates both belonging to the congress I and
Telegu Desam have filed their nomination papers in many of the
constituencies in Krishna, Guntur and Prakasham districts.

The former minister and estranged congress I leader Mr.KEK Murthy declared
that he would be contesting from Dhone as an independent. He saaid that
all his connections with the ruling party remain snapped. He also accused
his high commandd of betraying enormous confidence he had in the ruling
party.

The United Nations Environment Programme and the network for environmental
traaining at tertiary level in Asia and Pacific are hosting an
international resource development workshop on toxic chemicals and
hazardous waste management training from Nov 22-24. The workshop is being
organised by the Environment Protection Training and Research Institute
Hyderabad.
