sorry to nitpick again! But it means a "good maiden".

Flaws with "good virgin"
1) could be very old; then one shouldn't say a kanya :)
2) could be a guy!!
3) non-indian audience could easily misinterpret such a translation.

I have heard people screwing up names like Mandakini etc..

P.S: I am reminded of the translation of Vedas by Max Muller. Anybody
has enthu to shed light on that? The info I heard "from a swamiji"
that Max Muller's aim was to mis-interpret vedas so that there would
be friction within the hindu community.

This is an atrocious translation. In context,
kanya simply means "maiden" or "daughter".

not "Sukanya" although Sukanya may be correct sankritically!
