Two to three days ago Mr. Chandrasekhar Boddu asked whether Sri
Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao and Balasubrahmanyam sang any (a) songs
together. Incidentally I was revisiting some old movies and I noticed
one excellent song by these two singers. That was in the movie
"EKAVIRA". The lyrics were either by Dr. C. Narayanareddy or Sri.
Devulapalli Krishna Sastri. Either way, that was a great piece of
literary work. Dr. C. Narayanareddy recreated Sri Viswanadaha's marvel
i.e. EKAVIRA. Unfortunately the movie did not suit to the taste of the
then Telugu mass. That is a literary debecle and EKAVIRA went down in
the history of Telugu cinema. Even matinee idols like NTR and Jamuna
could not elevate the state of EKAVIRA in the hearts of Andhra praja.
EKAVIRA is one of the greatest pieces of romantic works in modern Telugu
literature that came from Viswanadha's desk.

This song is written by Devulapalli Krishna Sastry.

The other famous song by the duo is Ennallo vechina udayam.

There is another song - one of MY old favourites, sung by
GVR and SPB together.

It goes " inkA telavaaradEmi, EE cIkati vidipodemi "

I remember most of the song....but as it usually happens with me I do not
know the movie name and the other details. P'bly more knowledgeable
song buffs can fill in.
