I would appreciate if someone can tell the precise meaning of these
two names:

Kunal
Rohit

Also, are there any references to these names in any of the Hindu
scriptures?

Thanks,
Ram Kandimalla

Thank you Subba Rao garu. That is what I have been thinking too.
But someone recently told me that the name of Satya
Harischandra's son is 'Lohithaasudu' not 'Rohithaasudu'.
Can you clarify if these two names are synonyms?

*** rest snipped **
With reference to meaning #5 -- I remember that
Harischandra's son's name is Lohitasya; not Rohit. Someone
correct me if I am wrong. And I think that the son of
Buddha was named Rohit.
