SriSri told something similar to this about Tea (not many Tea-prEmiis
know about this)
...
tee Traganivaadu, pOTuteegai puttun.
(
I have some additions to this, Netters can add more:
"C" vaadani vaadu, sigalO pEnai puttun
"Cricket" aadani vaadu, keetakkamai puttu
)
Those, who do not take tea, but coffee, SriSri wrote for those also:
"kandam" eppudu padiTe appudu
kappeDu kaaphi (coffee) nosankgu sujanudu
choppadina yoora numdumu
choppada kunnatti yooru choravaku summi.
( Stay only in a place where there is a person so nice to give you coffee,
whenever you want)
I think most of you have recognized this as a parody for
Sumathi's
appichchuvaadu, vaidyudu,
eppud(+)edaTegaka paaru Eru, dvijudun,
choppadina ...
( Stay only in a place where there is an appichchuvaadu, and there is
a doctor, there are water resources, and there is a brahmin)
Regards,
Suresh.

Why do you want to stop with hAsya padyAlu?
We can enjoy the hAsyam in jokes also. Am I correct?
There was a joke. I don't know how to explain in detail.

wasn't that a "teacher" ? etymologically dvijudu = brahmin,
but I was wondering if that was vejjudu = teacher.
I may be wrong, however.

`I have read your article, Mr. Johnson, and I am no wiser than when I
started.' -- `Possibly not, sir, but far better informed.'
As far as, I know, it is "dvijudu". Ask PALANA for authentication.
I do not know any word "vejjudu" with the meaning of teacher.
I know the word "ojja", which means teacher. There are many people
with their family name "ojja", "ojjala", "vajjala" all referring
to the teacher profession. Also, "ojja" in the word "ojja-banthi"
is used in this meaning.
Btw, there is an interesting etymology for the word "dvijudu".
In the word "dvija", "dvi" refers to two or second, and ja
refers to birth or "born". dvija means second born. A person is
supposed to be dvija (brahmana) only after his "Yaj~opaveeTa DhaaraNa",
that is when he is supposed to have taken another birth.

Suresh.
