Something coming from the Rushis. 'Arsha chook' means a mistake
made in olden times and followed only because it was made in olden times! For
eg
'Satyameva jayate' is wrong sanskrit. It should be 'Satyameva jayati'. But it
is continued as jayate because it is an 'arsha chook'.

>4. Dheeratwa
Never heard this word before but does it mean the same as dhairya?

Anything to do with "rshi"s; (anything somehow vedic is character,
characterised by a sanguine, ambitious or visionary attitude, the
epics Ramayan and Mahabharat as opposed to court epics, "ancient"...)

>2. Uh -shlaghya

I am unsure. I think it essentially means unattainable, hence useless
to desire it.

Snotty. (Excellent for flamewars over on the sanskrit newsgroup.)

>1. Chid-ghana
>4. Dheeratwa

These need to be explained in the context of the poem, which I know
nothing about right now.

shlAghA in sanskrit means praise. ashlAghya in my opinion is something
that is not praiseworthy

thanks tushar and maheendra; i never thought i would get such a prompt
response!
> dnyatachya kumpanawaroon....

yes, i was reading exactly that poem! what could chidghana.chapala mean?
my guess is that chitta is mind; chitghana is probaby brain and chapala
is
lightning (weej)? so the word meanssparks of fertile imagination i.e.
pratibha?
figuratively of course.
tya gaaati neegoodh geeti - neegoodh ? anyone?

uh-shlaghya means :
i may not find exact word. but let me try to give a context
where it is used. e.g. uh-shlaghya wartan means ghrunaspad wartan.

Zapurza is derived from Ja pori ja...
Earlier days when girl used to come to maika from her sasural and spend time with her childhood friends and aunties etc.. It's an emotional moment when she has to say good bye again to go back to sasural... It's like doosri Bidayi... So all women give her send off by foogdi and used to chant ja pori ja continuous ..but when in motion of foogdi used to sound like zapurza
