Now more than 100 days are elapsed from the kidnap of
Dr.Rajkumar. Being an outsider in Bangalore, I am known to
Rajkumar only by his songs like "Huttidare Kannada Nadalli
Huttubeku..". He is too good a singer as well as an actor.
I still remember during the Kannada Rajyostava time, the
Youths will organize celebrations and the all musical troops
will start it's programme with this song. During
my 2-wheeler rides across Bangalore, I used to immediately
halt my journey, whenever I see a Rajyostva celebration.
I used to join the spectators and enjoy the programme being one
among them. The singers not only sung Kannada songs but the hard beat
type A.R Rahman's Tamil songs too. I watch the musical night,
and relax myself, which was a free musical bonanza.
When I heard the news that Dr.Rajkumar was kidnapped, I was
terribly shocked. I could foresee the trouble this can bring
into common man living across Bangalore especially the "other
state ones". This issue is big enough to create
daily tension in the lives of all poor and lower middle class
people toiling for 2 square meals a day in Bangalore. This
issue can be exploited by our rowdy friends in Bangalore to
settle their scores, otherwise cannot be done under the nose
of Bangalore Police.
I prey god, if the unexpected happen now, how the city going to
react? From the past records, Veerappan is a too hardcore criminal
to release Dr.Rajkumar just for nothing. Any civilized goverment
in the world cannot give into his demands like releasing
all criminals in jail in exchange of just one person in captivity.
We also can see a pattern of anti-national activities on a surge
whenever Mr.Karunanidhi is at power in Tamil Nadu. We have to suspect
the LTTE and other hardcore Tamil nationalist's given a free run by
his government. All the "Tom Dick and Harry" type Tamil cause
leaders are taken to the media limelight during this crisis.
So I request our Kannada brothern to stay cool, even if the
unexpected happen. Everybody knows that these hardcore Tamil
nationalists (or separatists) groups have nothing to lose, If
Bangalore burns again. The already have enough grudges against
Bangalore and Bangaloreans, that their Rajiv Gandhi killer
LTTE champions were put to sleep here. Also they are jealous
of being Bangalore marching from progress to progress with its
IT firepower. I also prey God to give courage and wisdom to
deal with this crisis to our beloved Chief Minister S.M.Krishna. I
again
request Kannada people to stay cool even if the worst thing happen.
Time will teach the sessinalists and separatists their lesson.

What do you mean by a slang statement. It is a proper statement. what are you
trying to tell me. Isn't Rajkumar a person of mixed paretage??????
Venkatesh
Don't get carried away with your emotions. It is a fact that Rajkumar became
popular through Kannada movies however the fact remains that he was half
Tamil,half TELUGU.
THIS IS BIT LIKE MGR , JAYALALITHA, RAJANIKANTH, who are themselves not pure
Tamils but became popular through Tamil movies.
I can supply you the source of my information, next time if you want.
Venkatesh
Whereas, the thespian Rajkumar's father was from Singânallur which next to
the Coimbatore Town on the Coimbatore-Sulur Road. He was a Telugu speaking
Idiga. His mother was Lakshmiamma, a Tamil. More so, the term Idiga was a
Telugu derivative of the name Eezhavar, which means those who were originally
from Eelam or the island of Sri Lanka.
Dear Venkatesh
Please visit : www.tamilnation.org/ and browse under Karnataka you will find
an article written by Guna a Tamil writer from Bangalore entitled " What caused
Veerappan? He gives certain details about
Rajkumar's family back ground which I have cut and pasted above for your
benifit.
Iam a Sri lankan Tamil who firmly belive in the dravidian unity. Rajkumar (
half Tamil) Jayalaitha ( half Kannada) Periyar EVR, a Kannadiga , Rajanikant
Kannada/ Marathi , MGR malayalee are People who we dravidians must cherish in
unison. If all the Southern states of India can come together We will be like an
international grouping like ASEAN. If we Tamils and Kannadigas are going to
clash it is only the North Indians and Pakis who are stand to gain.
I do not think you should just accept if somebody writes something
in any web site. Usually, even history is subject to perception of
writer, so what is the authenticity if something is found in a website?
Looks like some of the things written in that article contradicts what
is there in other sites (e.g about kempe gowda, check
http://www.vp-a.org/Html/Kempegowda.html)
From what I heard from friends from Bangalore, the whole kidnap
episode is an eye wash for the public (inclding the concern about tamils
and such things as published by the web site). What I heard is that it
is a disagreement over hafta money from 'quarring' involving one of
Raj's son was the main reson for all this. Once he paid up the 'roll
call' money. Raj was let go, without bothering about tamil cause. That
kind of explains the role of (Dr) Bhanu and Ramkumar.
I cannot say for sure that the above rumour is close to truth, but
the thing is truth is no where near what newspapers and others report
(including websites). Public opinion is generally used to meet their own
ends by politicians and businessmen. Tamil/kannada causes are usually
stroked by such people who want something for their own and people fall
prey for such things.
Anyway, do your own due dilligence before you believe in anybody
says on websites or such public media.

I agree with what you say. However, won't someone be able to findout who
Rajkumar's real parent's are. He is a popular figure and a lot of people will
definitely know his background.
The web details of Kempe Gowda's I am unable to access.
