PANAJI: The state government on Wednesday filed an affidavit before
the high court of Bombay at Goa giving details of pendency of
references made by the civil courts in North Goa under the Tenancy and
Mundkar Act.
The high court had on September 13 directed the mamlatdars of North
and South Goa to file affidavits within two weeks giving details of
the pendency of tenancy and mundkar cases.
The affidavits were submitted by advocate general Subodh Kantak before
a division bench during the hearing of a suo motu writ petition
regarding the pendency of tenancy and mundkar cases at taluka and
district level.
