On 21/4/1994 Oriental Daily News, there is a report saying that George
Lam is applying divorce in US from his wife Ng Ching Yuen....

There has been rumours concerning the relationship between George Lam
Chi Cheung and Sally Yeh. Reporters has asked Sally about her opinion
on that issue and she refused to comment on it.....
If Lam is really successful in getting the divorce, he may be able to
marry Sally......surely one of the biggest news of entertainment news
of HK in 1994!

Is George Lam really going to divorce?
If it's true, will he marry Sally.
I thought they have a fight, that was my last news about them.
In Holland you don't get much info about the entertainment world.
You can only read the Chinese papers.
And 'cause I can't read Chinees, I don't know much about them.
But I am a fan of Sally Yeh.
So keep writing in this newsgroup.

Sheila.

I know someone peronally who is also one of SAlly's friend. <not lying>
According to her, George Lam's mother never recognizes his wife as her
daughter-in-law; she likes Sally more. ANd about Sally's love towards
George Lam, Sally is quite confused, because Lam is THE one who brought
SAlly success in the very beginning, and she does get her feelings mixed up.

Thanks for the info. Yesterday I read the Sing Tao European Paper, and
know that Sally en George are going to Malasia on tour.
And Sally said there are too many things have been told about them.
And she refused to tell more about their relationship.

that's all I can read.

I just feel uneasy seeing the incident going. Although I
don't live in the 60's, I still feel bad about looking at people
divorcing.

I like both George and Sally. The first cantonese album I ever
buy was "Wood Sick Sung Hong" by George in 1978(?). I still
remember the piano playing for "Few Pieces of Love Song". For the
past few years, media keep on saying George and Sally are really
two of a kind. Every interview involved either one of them are
always asking how they feel about each other. In every TV show
they are being asked for their "CLOSEST" friend. Reports and TV
hosts like to tease them a lot without paying much attention to
the fact that : George has a legal wife in state, Ng Yuen Ching.
Isn't that a bit cruel for the poor lady?

I am very surprised to read the above statement that George's
mother openly admitted that she likes Sally more than her
daughter-in-law. I thought previous generation is more
conservative.

I hope that if George has decided what to do, please do it
fast.

Don, when people aren't happy together, it's better to split than
making each others life miserable.
And it's always better that 2 people are happy and one not, then
3 unhappy people. And I agree that George has to decide it as soon as
possible.

i believe in " day long grow love" ( it gow sun chin?). that might be
what happened to george and sally. george made sally's successful career
possisble, he is good looking, has nice personality, sense of humor and
a great career. it's not everday you can meet a person like that. but
when that person is marry, then you should never get attached to
him.this is just my own opinion.

I agree with you basically, except the last few statements. I don't
think it is fair to blame it on Sally herself. (I'm not a fan of her.) Don't
forget that ``you can't press the head of an ox down if it's not drinking
water''. (Believe it or not, I'm a fan of Lam.)
