Hey folks, need some help on the origin of "kau kau."

>From what language did it originate? Is it Pidgin or just a local
term?

Darin Nakamura in a post in another thread said, "It (Buddahead) may be
related to the taunt phrase "Okinawa ken ken, buta kau kau",
meaning referring less to the fact that Okinawans ate pigs..."

So, does kau kau as used today by Hawai`i residents come from Japanese?

Second question, can I huh, was Kau Kau Corner "Corner" or "Korner"?

Thanks,

Ed
