I just know lots of you will know which song I am talking about.
I've tried googling but I obviously have some words wrong.

It is from about 30 years ago and opens with something like

"Mr Sancho Lee" and has lines like

"just a mean old pake man"

"is a cocktail waitress with plenty experience but she no experience
me."

And concludes with something about the differences in Hawaii yet we
manage to get along. "such a special place."

There is one thing I can say about this place

He's pake, not Mexican! As far as I know, first recorded by the Beamers
in the 70s, more recently by Pure Heart. I can't find my CDs so I can't
look up who wrote it. These lyrics are from memory and the order of the
2nd-4th verses may be wrong.

"Mr. Sun Cho Lee got plenty lychee.
Got plenty lychee, but he no gives to me.
And he's just one mean old pake man.

Mr. Kazu Tanaka got plenty camera supply.
Got plenty camera supply (duet singer - got electronic equipment), but
he no gives to me.
And he's just one mean old kepani man.

Mr. Conrad Jones got plenty swimming pool........
and he's just one mean old haole man.

Mr. Maximo Concepcion got plenty fighting chicken........
and he's just mean old Pilipino man.

Mr. Kamakawiwo'ole, got plenty not too much of nothing.
Got plenty nothing, he takes it out on me.
And he's just a mean old Hawaiian man.

Miss Momi Lomilomi, got plenty experience....
........., she no experience me.
And she's just a mean old cocktail waitress.

One thing I wen notice 'bout this place.
All us guys we tease the other race.
It's amazing we can live in the same place."

Nice discussion on ethnic humor with reference to this song in the Aloha
Airlines magazine:

As in "where can I get this for free"??? <g>

The song is included on the CD "Hawaii's Keola & Kapono Beamer",
and on the sampler CD "Hawai`i Coconut Hits".
