Your note is not off topic for this newsgroup but if there is
a lack of responses to this thread it's mainly because on a day
to day basis the local posters of this group don't have a habit
of renting hotel rooms, motel rooms or bed & breakfasts places
on the island that they live on.

I haven't been to the Big Island since 1990 and I didn't stay overnight.

My Island B & B in Volcano. Very nice accommadations, excellent breakfast
(French Toast made w/Portugese sweet bread, fresh fruit too.) Not far from
Kilauea.
