That bit about Jack Lord and his wife at the very end is interesting. I
didn't know that.

And to those locals lost because of the loss of "Lost"

Have no fear
Hawaii Five - O is here!

Even with Serbian technology thieves and teasing T-shirt vendors, as =
seen on
the new "Hawaii Five-O," Hawai'i looks pretty darn good in high =
definition.
So what if there's no such thing as Kukui High School (although it does =
have
a fan Web site with T-shirts, thanks to the enterprising designers of
Butigroove.) The the show is continuing to spark interest in tie-ins to =
the
visitor industry, which can smell opportunity like Jack Lord could smell =
a
rat.

I did not appreciate last week's episode about the Samoan gangs. It
seemed like a pretty cheap shot at one of our minority groups. What
are we to expect in future weeks? Filipino, Tongan, or Portugese
gangs? The show will give us as much bad press as good, and resurrect
the debate about legalized gambling in the state. Wasn't one of the
inferences from the show that once New Jersey legalized gambling in
Atlantic City, the Mafia had to go elsewhere? And, here's the big
mental leap- that mob-run gambling has to seek Oahu as a target? You
know the dumbest idea floated on the show was that a gambling den
could exist in Hawaii Loa Ridge! This is a gated community, like
Queens Gate and Waialae Iki II. Try getting through the gate without
showing an ID. Just try parking after midnight without a resident
decal. So much for anonymity. Next time, Mr. 5-0 Producer, get the
facts straight and relocate the action to Diamond Head road.

Facts? c'mon - this is TV! Fantasy! Make believe! You're lucky they
don't show the locals living in grass shacks and eating at luau every day.
