Discover The Normandy coast and its admiring artists
Corot, Courbet, Monet, Millet, Pissarro, Boudin, Sisley, Seurat,
Signac, Dufy... How many great artists have been seduced by the beauty
of the sea, the land and the light of Normandy... But if one had to
choose the names of only three great artists who depicted Normandy, it
would have to be Millet, Monet and Boudin. Their paintings are to be
found in some of the world's greatest museums: The Angelus, The
Gleaners, The Winnower... Jean-François Millet (1814-1875), a native
of Gréville-Hague, portrays peasant scenes from Normandy with great
emotion. Eugène Boudin (1824-1898), born in Honfleur, best known for
his paintings of beaches and cattle, became friends with Claude Monet
(1840-1926), who immortalised Rouen's Gothic Cathedral at different
times of the day. The master of the Impressionist movement moved to
Giverny in 1883, which he loved for its bright and changing skies.

Huh... we are concerned about english speaking persons reading this.
John appropriately noticed that this is a poor english translation of a
french text. If the intent is to chat on a NG fine. But this is
intended as an advertisement. As such it is a miserable failure.
