Before you buy.
First off, it's TagAlog. :)
I don't think there is any Tagalog EQUIVALENT of that name. If you,
however, try to translate it.. you'll end up with a literal translation
meaning "like a female child..." And many people will laugh at such a
ridiculous thing.
I don't think Girly is a common name... It's *mostly* a nickname, but
then there's some strange Filipino parents who opt to have it as a name
on the poor child's birth certificate. :)
Girly for an American girl?? Bad idea.... IMHO, it sucks..
You may want to consider trying more appropriate names in Tagalog.. like
the words for love, brightness, etc... I know of a girl named Mahal...
and an old lady named Liwanag. I think they sound better than Girly. :)

My mate in Manila has a girlfriend called Girlie. Seems to be
universal.
BTW, his other one is called Strawberry. Go figure.

I had a teacher named "Girlie". I had a neighbour named "Apple". I had
classmates named "Concon" (what the hell was that??) and "Joserizal". My
Dad's nickname is "Eddie Boy" or simply "Boy" and his sister's nickname is
"Baby".
My late grandfather chose names for his pet dogs from: "boomer", "blackie",
"brownie"... Always from this list!

Funny/what a coincidence - this was brought up. :) Have a nephew in
Pinas who recently married a Pinay named Girly/ie & she's over 30, also
few years older than him. :)
Other names w/ similar connotation as Girly/ie are Nenita/Niña for
Tagalogs, & I think (not very sure) Weng for Bisayans. Go ahead -
rebut! :)
Purong Pinay,
Norma
This is funny.
