For the last 50 years, Singapore had adopted the neutral policy with
regard to China and the USA. Singapore want to be a friend of China
and also a friend of the USA.

Singapore's NEW Foreign Minister Shanmugam, an Indian, has deviously
changed the foreign policy for Singapore. In the past, Singapore had
respect China's position ...on how to settle the disputed claim on
Islands owned by China in the South China Sea. Now he has sided with
the USA.

China has long insisted that the disputes on the islands in South
China Sea must be settled individually by direct negotiation between
China and the other party.... the USA or ASEAN had no bloody business
to be involved. China made this very clear to all the countries
involved and to the USA..... that she will certainly NOT, have the
disputes to settled as a group under the leadership of USA.

Before the disputed claims are settled, China welcome ASEAN
contribution by agreeing to a code of conduct in South China Sea...NOT
to take unilateral action to escalate tension in this region. ASEAN
meeting was a platform ONLY for discussing the code of conduct for
nations to behave in South China Sea.

Shanmugam has now changed his stance...saying that ASEAN meeting
should be a platform for the settlement of the disputed claim on
islands owned by China.... a position put forward by H Clinton and was
rejected by China.

It is dangerous for Singapore to side with the USA...Singapore good
relationship with China will be in jeopardy.... trade with China will
be affected...our economy will suffer greatly.

Former PM Goh was quick to point out ..that Singapore's position
should be friends of both China and the USA...implying that it is
wrong for Singapore to side with the USA. But Goh CT is out of the
cabinet...as 'has been' with no real power.

I don't know what is an optimum foreign policy...
but I know the value of friendship with China...
and the USA.
With China, it is more than $70 billion every year.

For a tiny pi-sai country like Singapore, with no natural
resources, we depend on export of our products for
our survival. Currently, 20% of our products is exported
to China (and Hong Kong) and 11% to the USA.
Last year, we exported $70 billions worth of goods
to China and only $36 billion to the USA.

1.2 millions Chinese tourists visited Singapore last year
and they spent billions on hotel, food and entertainment.

It is vital to our economy and our growth that Singapore
maintain good relationship with China. It is not wise
for Foreign Minister Shanmugam to thumb our nose
at China at ASEAN meeting...it is as bad as PM Lee
visiting Taiwan before being appointed as our PM.

No wonder Dr. Kissinger said: Indians are dangerous.

Yes....100%.

This scs would not be so smelly...if the shit stirrer,
garbage dealer and the Indians just vanish into thin
air. Their BO is a little too strong for me.
I have to agree with what Lao Tze said:
Good cannot exist without the bad.

I NO understand ...your shouting.
I am interested in playing games...
I am not interested in the truth..
When you win...it is the whole truth...
everything is true.

What is the truth ?
If you bother to give me an answer...
I will stop playing games with you.
When you answered... "Like that...you
ask me, I ask who ?"
(It is great fun ...to ask such questions!)

about? how it come to being? how come there is suffering?
is it necessary? is there anything beyond life?

who is the "idiot" (as mentioned in Shakespere's Macbeth) who created
this story (i.e. this Universe)

If you don't know the answers, say so. ..say that you
don't know the answer.

Asking questions....is no answers.

you ask me: "what is x?"
i answer: "x - 1 = 41?"
what i meant was: x is the answer to "x - 1 = 41?"
