Filipino babies: weight and size

I'm trying to get some information on the average size and weight of babies in the
Philippines when they are born.
Here in Scandinavia they measure the 'normal' growth of the foetus by comparing it to a
'normal' growth curve, but that is based on statistics from Northern Europe (which will
give a 'normal' baby of between 6 and 8 pounds). I know that the average weight in
Indonesia some years ago was more around 5 1/2 pounds, and I suspect it will be about
the same for the Philippines. However, I haven't seen any data on it, May be someone
could give me some information.

I have three children 2 are with my first husband who is Filipino (I am part Filipino, not full, my father
is American). My first one was 6 lbs 15 oz and the second one was 7 lbs 14 oz.

Ave. newborn height: 50 cm
Ave. newborn weight: 6 lbs

Consult the book by Fe del Mundo and Perla Santos Ocampo entitled
Textbook of Pediatrics. The book has graphs and nomograms based on
Filipino babies.
