Manong Ben,
What you mean by "To Go" cockpit?
Are you a La Loma Sa Pula Sa Puti veteran?
Fred
Manong Fred !!!, hindi pa naman yata ako beterano sa "bulang"...
But, YESSIR !!! I've been twice to the Laoac, Pangasinan AND
Udiao/Saytan, Rosario, La Union cockpits back in the early 70s.
As usual, just to see and be seen. And to see for myself just how
sharp 'em spurs/"tadi" were ...
BTW, I heard they have a huge "Iskuela-an iti Lal-lakay" in
Agoo, La Union which is well-patronized on Saturdays and Sundays.

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Southern Philippines --- Sabungeros in the
SCF.....check out the legendary fighting cock, "Zamboanga White" at:
http://home.aol.com/Faxnews2
Three consecutive nights of pouring rain did not discourage more than
5,000 people who attended a three-day cockfight derby here which
started Friday morning.
If everything goes well over the next 24 hours---FaxNews
International will be releasing photos of a hair-raising episode my
buddy, Gener Martinez, and I had with a hit-and-run military vehicle.
The drunk driver, who surrendered to the local police two days later,
turned out to be a Philippine Marines officer.

speeding military vehicle who fled the scene of the accident

So John, win anything? Don't forget the balato <wink>!
BTW, as an aside, I was in Madrid recently and watched a bullfight and I
came to the conclusion that sabongs are more acceptable to me as a sport
than bullfights. I find it more fair to have a cock fight a cock equally
armed, than a 550 kg. bull against 6-7 people armed with swords and
knives plus a blindfolded horse who has no idea of what's going on.
