Not yet, those lines are too long for Rich to memorize. Good if the girl would
allow him to read it in paper. How about a simple one.
Rich..if you propose for a marriage just ask the girl that you have something
to say for her. And when the girl asks of what is it, then say the keywords;
"Pakakasalan mo ba ako?"
That's it...how simple. Say that in a romantic place like a nice restaurant or
in a private section (living room) of the girl's house. Be ready for the
engagement ring for I am pretty sure that she would expect that too after the
answer "Yes".

I thought she was supposed to make him wait for the sweet "oo" for five
years, more or less (unless buntis)?

No no no no Manong Kiko... You can not translate "Will you marry me" in Tagalog
and mean the same thing. "Pakakasalan mo ba ako?" is usually uttered by the women
and not the guys. Guys never ask girls "Will you marry me?" in the
Philippines... Usually, it goes like this "Gusto kitang pakasalan", which means
"I would like to marry you!". And usually it's followed with the reasons why the
guy would like to marry the girl and they could be:
"Dahil para sa akin, nakita ko na ang pinakamabuting babae na makakasama
ko sa buhay"
(Because, finally I've met the best girl I can be with forever"

And for a really romantic atmosphere - I recommend Island Cove in
Bacoor, Cavite - not too far fr Manila - 1/2 hr to 45 mins. tops - of
course w/ no traffic jam. :)
