This reminded me of those days when the 'in' thing was Ricky Belmonte jokes.
The one I recall is when Ricky was invited to Malacan~ang for a formal state
dinner with visiting dignitaries. At one point during the dinner, he was
trying to reach out over the long dining table to get a piece of bread. He
tried but could not reach the bread basket so he turned to the US ambassador
who was seating beside him and asked, "Can you please pass me the bread? My
arms cannot arrive." <hahahahaha, it still sounds good after all these years>
Sabi pa niya ... ang init naman dito. I feel so sophisticated.
Tapos, sabi pa niya, while introducing a group (emcee siya noon ng isang
noon time show) --- ladies and gentlemen, the popular group who call
themselves ... who call themselves ... (nakalimutan) .... he turns to the
group and asks:
what do you call themselves?
tapos sabi pa niya ... habang nasa labas, naghihintay ng taksi, biglang umulan.
... it's raining, aren't they?
hindi na nakakatawa pero noon, nakakatawa nga ...
:-(

You know Bam2, a lot of the Erap jokes are actually recycled Ricky
Belmonte jokes. Yun nga lang, Erap was smarter for making $ out of it by
coming up with a book. <ka-ching!>

I think that it was also in that same formal dinner party in Malacanang that Ricky Belmonte
while admiring the chandeliers, blurted to the Ambassador beside him, " Oh! How nice the
CHAMBERLAINES!"
How about the latest?! U know how every celebrity is queried as to 'shorts or briefs'? Right?
So this TV interviewer asked Bob Dole, and he replied " .Depends!!!"
Hayyy Corny!!!

another joke that made the rounds back then:
While visiting New York, Ricky Belmonte rented a car to
see the city's attractions. As he drove and enjoyed the
sights at the same time, he accidentally cut another
motorist off. The angered New Yorker drove up beside the
rental car, shouted, "Motherf***er son of a bitch!!",
gave Ricky Belmonte the finger and sped away. Not one to
take offensive remarks lightly, Ricky Belmonte caught up
with the angry New Yorker, drove up beside him, and
loudly retorted, "Madapa ka rin sana sa beach!! Gago!!"

looking for possible producers from different States including Canada.
She is one of the in demand concert performers here in Los Angeles. The

She will continue upon her arrival at the end of October.
Sheryl will be performing with her two dancers, Albert Dimarucut and Boyet
Silverio. The two dancers are from the dance group, "The VIP Dancers."
They have been dancing for over ten years with many well known performers
in the Philippines, notably Vilma Santos.

Wow! The word "smarter" and the name "Erap" used in the same sentence, I don't think
I've ever seen this before. I wonder if it was really Erap who thought about selling the
book, or was it his "advisors".
Teka, I've seen one of the Erap joke books, and IIRC it wasn't
written or published by Erap at all (I've forgotten who wrote
it though). AFAIK, Erap had nothing to do with the books,
except perhaps give permission that his name be used in the
jokes (assuming the authors asked him at all).
