Can anyone tel me if A4 or Legal (11 inch) paper is standard in your
laser printers in the Philippines.
I'm travelling next month & need to know if paper that I would bring
would fit in printers that I would be using there. I'll also be doing
some photocopying, so I don't want to print toi A4 and then find that
your copy shops run with a different paper size.
Many thanks.

A4 is standard, to my knowledge. But, I will open myself to
correction (if someone knows otherwise). On that subject, Seamus, legal
size paper in the Philippines (and in the U.S.) is 14 inches. But, we
may just be different.
Good luck.

This is very helpful, you are probably right about legal. AFAIK 11 inch
is used mostly in the USA whereas here in Ireland and Europe in general,
we use A4.
I'm considering buying some laser label stock before I travel & am
concerned that it may not fit in the standard paper cartridges in the
Philippines if 11 inch is standard there.
Given the contrary response to mine, I will stand corrected. It's been
two years since I was there on a long-term basis, so I will yield the
conventional wisdom to respondents directly from the Philippines.
(Which is what I should have done in the first place!) Sorry about
that, and good luck.
The RP is metric since 1983 but they use mostly the
Imperial system. The ISO A4 etc. is not common.

I'm not sure of these terms. The paper needs to be printed on in a laser
printer and its content copied in photocopiers. The content would be
statistical in nature.
Usually, here in Ireland I use 80gm A4, plain copier paper.
Are there different uses made of 11 inch and 14 inch paper, according to
content, in the Philippines?
US Legal 8.5" x 14" is rarely used or available and is carried only in the
larger bookstores. Instead we have the Long size which is 8.5" x 13"
(WordPerfect calls it the Officio size but Microsoft ignores it
completely). This size has to be inputted as a custom paper size when
setting up your computer software and printer.
The term "bond paper" usually means a white medium-weight paper with plain
and smooth texture that is suitable for copiers and laser printers.
