HAS AGA FOUND HIS TRUE LOVE?
Manila, July 29, 1998 - Aga Muhlach's own manager, Ethel Ramos, has shot
down all speculation about any reconciliation between her ward and former
Miss Universe, now international recording star Dayanara Torres.
Writing in her column for Malaya, Ethel says there is a new beauty queen in
Aga's life: Melissa Torres Fernandez, chosen one of Manila's Five Loveliest
for the years 1993-1994, and currently finishing her Masters at the Ateneo
University. Students and faculty members of the Jesuit school are by now
familiar with Aga, who has become a familiar figure on campus where he
regularly picks up Melissa after her classes.
Melissa's "coming out" as Aga's new girl was at the birthday party of Agot
Isidro, where Aga proudly showed her off to his "Okidokidok" TV sitcom co-stars.
Aga was in another campus for his own graduation a few days ago. Ethel
describes him as "in high spirits" when during graduation rites of the Basic
Course on Entrepreneurship at the University of the Philippines, a class he
organized and attended along with 11 others.
Aga's classmates, and fellow graduates, included Mother Lily's son Dondon
Monteverde, presidential son Jude Ejercito (vice president of Greenline
Enrvirotech), Balita editor Dindo Balares, actor Richard Bonnin and Aga's
own brother Albert.
His groups' thesis on dairy products was adjudged the best of the lot by
their professors.
Aga is preparing himself for a career/enterprise outside the movies.
