dear Joash,
thanks for the lyrics above. we needed it so that we could perform the
song
in front of an american audience in a local folkhouse. we felt that this
is
in the interest of "diversity".
we of course are going to sing it in tagalog and use the above as a guide.
i totally agree with you that nothing matches the filipino lyrics. a lot of
us grew up with this song, cherished and loved it, in probably the same way
as JT (james taylor).
we filipinos can do a long way in conveying who we are in heart and mind
through
our music.
