It’s been 50 years since Tibet’s spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama,
fled his homeland on March 17,1959 for fear of being persecuted by
the Chinese communist regime. Lee Jianglin, a Chinese historian,
recently published a book entitled “Lhasa 1959.” The book gives a
detailed account of what actually happened in Tibet in late 1950s.
