US currently has 10 million job openings with no applicants, 4 million American workers quit their jobs in a month. Who is going to make stuff? Who is going to sit in a factory line? China didn’t steal your jobs, you don’t want the jobs.

To make aluminum, you need magnesium, 85% of the magnesium come from China, more specifically Shanxi, which currently stopped making magnesium due to power shutdown. EU has magnesium to last to 11/15. US will run out soon and no more aluminum for US and EU auto factories. That is on top of semiconductors shortage.

Which country is going to make magnesium? You? Germany? France? Americans? Magnesium is abundant, but it is energy intensive and it pollutes. China didn’t steal magnesium production, you didn’t want it. You want it, go ahead and take over, but you can’t.
