Last week I posted a request for a transcript of the lyrics to
a song known by the title "Theme from Harry's game", as performed
by the Irish group "Clannad". A friendly guy in Eindhoven, The
Netherlands, was kind enough to obtain them for me.
We are a mixed voices a-capella choir here in Oslo, Norway, who will
like to put this song onto our repertoire. Primarily because it is a
beautiful song, and secondly because we plan go visiting Ireland next
summer. We intend to use the original lyrics, which I believe are in
Gaelic.
The reason for posting this, is that it would be nice for us to know
the meaning of the lyrics. (I, for one, have not the slightest idea).
If anyone out there could help us in this matter, it would be highly
appreciated.
As to the pronunciation, we do of course have the "Clannad" recording
to support us. Looking at the words, however, any guidance in this
matter too will also be highly appreciated.
Stein
