Where is Tullymore, Ireland? Waking Ned Devine

We just saw the movie WND and thought the scenery was gorgeous!! We are
planning a trip to Ireland this summer and would love to know what part of the
country it is in. I think the town is too small to show on the map. Is it in
the Dingle area?

Yep... "Tullymore" is a fictional town... but it was filmed at Cregneash, a
hamlet in the south of the Isle of Man.

But there is a place in Ireland called Tullamore. It's in County
Offaly.

as far as I know it was filmed in the isle of man i.e not in Ireland at all!

Unfortunatley, that movie wsas actually filmed in Isle of man and not in
Ireland!!!

It's an Irish film with mostly Irish actors, but it was mostly filmed in the Isle of Man, an island close to Ireland, perhaps for tax breaks.

Tullymore is a quite a common name in Ireland. There are about 20 places in Ireland called An Tulaigh Mhór (Tullymore), or variations. It means 'the big hillock'.

I travel to Ireland quite a lot and have been to both. The scenery in Ireland is very similar to this. In fact, in my opinion, far superior. If you want to get something close to this, the best places to go are all along the west coast, along the Wild Atlantic Way. Perhaps the best places like this are on Acaill island, especially An Choim. Also the south-west, near Dún Chaoin and An Daingean.

Tullymore is in fact a real village in County Donegal. But yes the movie was filmed on Isle of Mann
