Hagel said : "US must not dictate to the world." Can we believe him ?

Soon after being confirmed as the Defence Secretary, Hagel said: :"We
can't dictate to the world, but we should engage with the world."

Can we believe him ?

The USA has been trying very hard...to show the world that the USA is
the remaining superpower...is the one who has the power to dictate to
the world... dictating to the Muslim world and other developing
countries: "become a democracy like us or else !" Countries who
refused to kowtow to the dictates of the USA (including Iran and N
Korea)...are sanctioned by the USA.

Is this going to change ?

Only fools and brainwashed morons will believe him.

Yes, He said it himself. Now, it's up to Obama to follow through.

His words are reasonable...and like Obama's words,...
sound like he is a man with whom the world could do
business with...(not those of a bull dog/bitch like H Clinton)

But is he like Obama....saying one thing and doing

Though Obama has the final say...Obama is but a
clueless president (a puppet acting out the wishes
of his master...the powerful interests group).
If Hagel is like Henry Kissinger, he has the opportunity
to change the world into a more peaceful place...just
like Kissinger's engaging and opening up China...
become a real game changer.

I honestly do not know much about Hagel...he has
not track record for us to judge....to tell us which
direction he will take the USA.
One point in his favours...he is his own man...
In the past he refused to be a 'yes man' to the Republican
policy...being branded as a 'rebel' by the Conservative
establishment.

US politicians were and have been telling spins...instead
of saying what they mean...and mean what they say...like
the leaders of China.

Until his actions match with his words...it is wise ..NOT
to take what he said as the truth.

I am not optimistic....Hagel is not Henry Kissinger...NOT

I believe him,baldeagle, but that will also
include removing our factories from many third world countries so that
they can go back to working a team of oxen in the rice paddies.
