on Bhagavad Gita." Ten bucks, US, 260 pages, and highly recommended!
Also carries `Self Realization', a version of Ashtavakrageetaa, at low
cost. (Toronto Centre carries that in stock!) The publisher was
a teacher at the Sai Institute, and a long time resident of the ashram.
He and his bride currently live and teach in Colorado.

The Toronto Centre carries the early 8mm and 16mm films of Richard
Bock, transferred to videocassette. While these films are rare in that
they are the earliest available movies (1968-1977) showing Sai in
various circumstances, the films unfortunately contain a number of
errors in narration (such as affirming Sai was born in a Brahmin
family, and such as saying Sai is foretold by Mohammed) - so as you
watch, please be sure to discriminate about what you hear.

A Dutch film crew made the documentary GOD LIVES IN INDIA, which is
available for $18 (US, + $4 for shipping/handling) from:

first film is $22.50, and for the second, $18, (plus ship/handle). She

In contrast to "God lives in India", this film does not focus on Sai
Baba's wondrous activities of materialising jewelry or holy ash, but
concentrates on such things as the universities which he has
established. As Sai Baba says: "These wonders, as you call them, are
only my visiting card". The film stresses that as long as we are
obsessed by appearances - in this case the "visiting cards" of
Sathya Sai Baba- we will continue to be distracted from that which
is far more essential.

Readers of the last three websites above will find mentioned a few
authors critical of Sai. Titles to look for in that light are by Tal
Brooke, Abrham Kovoor and Sri Premanand. Tal is the only one to have
studied Sai at length, and his books are available through The
Spiritual Counterfeits, a Christian anticult network. The other two
writers are available only in Asia, though both are covered on the Net
in the websites critical of Sai mentioned above. Libraries in major
cities may carry all three authors. I read them, and found them...
well, read them yourself and we can chat about it! Other authors, like
David Lane, who mention Sai only in passing, are not included in this
list, as their writings are for the most part about themselves.

If there are titles or sources you want me to add, pro or con, please
advise. I do read everything about Sai, and strive to offer an up to
data inclusive reference list.
